The Parnell Memorial Library is proud to partner with West AlabamaWorks and Central Six AlabamaWorks for the launch of their Career Connect Workforce Initiative. This partnership allows the library to connect community members to job opportunities available in the region.

Let us help you plug into job training, GED classes, and a wide range of educational opportunities that can help you get a better job, a degree, or a special certification that can help you create a better future.

No matter where you are, there are special programs and opportunities, offered by our nonprofit partners that can help provide support, resources, and guidance to find your path to a brighter future. Your fist step is to register!

  1. Register online or at the library kiosk. For the fastest follow up, you will need a working email. You can get a free email address easily from gmail.com. Please provide all the information you possibly can.

  2. Follow up. You will receive an email or phone call from one of the West Alabama Works Navigators. They will guide you through possible job opportunities, specialized job training, job programs, and more.

  3. Start your future. Get help on building job skills, finishing your resume, or finding out employers that are hiring. You’ll gain some resources as you start your path to a brighter future.
