OUR PURPOSE

The purpose of the Parnell Memorial Library Foundation is to focus public attention on the library, by promoting and increasing knowledge and understanding of the library services and needs, as well as to receive and encourage public support through gifts, endowments, memorials and bequests. The Foundation strives to promote funding for the expansion of the facilities and to support and cooperate with the library in developing services and programs to benefit the citizens of the City of Montevallo and neighboring communities. The Foundation wants the city of Montevallo to be proud of Parnell Memorial Library and the services it provides to the community.

current programs

The Parnell Memorial Library Foundation enhances library programming providing funding for additional programs such as: Montevallo Children’s Theatre, Montevallo Elementary School Book Vending Machine, Outdoor StoryWalk, Library Gardens, Library Content Expansion, Specialty Programs, and Guest Performances and Programs. In addition, the Foundation provides funding for expansion of facilities.

Become A Friend of the Library

Do you love our local library? You can be part of the success of all the great reading, resources and programs that take place at the Parnell Memorial Library. Become a Friend of the Library with an annual donation to the Parnell Memorial Library Foundation. Individual Friends will make a $30 annual donation and a Family of Friends will make a $50 donation. With all proceeds going to support the work of the Parnell Memorial Library Foundation which supports library programs, materials, and building expansion.

With this contribution you will be helping the library succeed and grow. You will be added to the list of Friends on our social media and website. You will also receive important library news and updates from our quarterly newsletter and be given opportunity to participate in library programs, boards and committees.

WAYS TO DONATE

Your charitable contribution will assist in continuing and developing library programming for all ages. Your donation is deductible as the Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)3 entity.
